Abstract

Recently, the fast development of communication technologies brings a heterogeneous network environment, which provides diverse services for users. Resource management and allocation is crucial and complicated for the assurance of end to end quality of service (QoS), which is especially difficult in heterogeneous networks. Therefore, an open resource allocation architecture is important for the service providers. In this paper, we propose a novel pricing-based end to end resource allocation and management architecture, with some key functional blocks presented. Moreover, an example of the pricing tool implement in the heterogeneous network environment is presented, which verifies the effectivity of the pricing tool.
