An overview is given of the aforementioned market opportunities, the evaluation of key organizational factors affecting these opportunities, and the methodology by which the private sector can contribute to the efforts of the Federal Highway Administration (FWHA), Federal Transit Administration (FTA), various Departments of Transportation (DOTs) and other private organizations in meeting the challenge of implementing IVHS in the United States.
