CCCII and CCII based universal current-mode filter with tunable frequency

Abstract

This paper introduces a new current-mode biquadratic filter with three input terminals and one output terminal. The circuit uses one minus-type second-generation current controlled conveyor (CCCII-),one multi-output second-generation current controlled conveyor (MOCCCII), two plus-type second-generation current conveyors (CCII+), four grounded capacitors and two grounded resistors. The proposed circuit can realize five standard filter functions: high-pass, band-pass, low-pass, notch and all-pass from the same configuration. The filter enjoys very low sensitivities with respect to the circuits' active and passive components. Furthermore, gain and pole parameters of the filter can be tuned electronically by adjusting the bias currents of the CCCII. Performance of the proposed biquadratic filter can be examined by PSPICE simulation.
