Abstract

The cyclotron radiation emitted by an electron is determined. The treatment is valid up to extremely relativistic energies. The critical frequency (i.e., the lowest frequency at which cyclotron radiation is emitted, is found as a function of the angle between the orbital axis of the electron and the direction of emission.
