Abstract
In total, 13 propolis samples from the northern parts of Thailand and 10 from Republic of Korea were analyses by HPLC. Our results showed that Thai propolis has minimum flavonoid contents than the Korean propolis. Thai propolis contained six types of chemical components namely rutin, myricetin, quercetin, kaempferol, apigenin, pinocembrine, chrysin and galangin, whereas the Korean propolis five namely rutin, myricetin, quercetin, kaempferol, apigenin, pinocembrine, chrysin, and galangin. The variation in the chemical composition of Thai and Korean propolis is related to plant species and geographical regions.
