Research on the modeling and simulation of coordinate structure hybrid excitation synchronous generator with AC excitation

Abstract

In order to improve the regulation difficulty of magnetic field and voltage of permanent-magnet synchronous machine (PMSM), a novel brushless coordinate structure hybrid excitation synchronous generator (HESG) with AC excitation is proposed in this paper. The output voltage of the HESG can be regulated through the control of the amplitude and phase of the AC excitation current. The structure and operation principle of the HESG are described. The mathematical model of the HESG with AC excitation is built. The simulation model of the HESG is established with S-function. The no-load characteristic, external behaviors and the regulation characteristic are simulated. The simulation results verify the feasibility of the proposed HESG and the correctness of the mathematical model.
