Abstract
Good software testing is the key to improve and guarantee software quality. The paper proposes a practical approach, BATOOM, to real world software testing to develop and implement a balanced software testing method to achieve significant quality improvement. For object oriented software products, functional testing is more effective and efficient. BATOOM is functional test based.
