Abstract

To investigate the chemical constituents of Dahuang Mudan decoction(DHMDT),Silica gel column chromatography and Sephadex LH-20 gel column chromatography were employed for the isolation and purification.The structures were identified on the basis of spectral data and chemical evidence.Five compounds were isolated and identified as follows: ω-hydroxyemodin(1),sitostery-3-O-β-D-glucoside-6′-O-palmitate(2),aloe-emodin-3-(oxymethyl)-O-β-D-glucoside (3), Paeonol(4),paeoniflorigenone(5).All these compounds were isolated from Dahuang Mudan decoction(DHMDT) for the first time.
