New spectrophotometric data for the northwestern and southeastern portions of Herbig-Haro Object No. 1 are presented. The SE portion is found to have an intensity ratio [N I] A5200iHfi which is about three times larger than the NW portion. Evidence for sub-arc-second tructural svariations in relative intensities of emission lines in the NW portion is discussed. The FN ii] A5755/(6548 + 6584) intensity ratio implies Te 13,500 K i 2000 K. These results are discussed in the context of the shock-wave hypothesis for the origin of Herbig-Haro nebulae. Key words: Herbig-Haro objects - spectrophotometry
