Abstract
Cable supported structures have distinctive dynamic behaviour. Extradosed bridge, which is intermediate to Girder Bridge and cable stayed bridge, owing to its shallow cables, the structure behaviour of Extradosed Bridge differs from that of cable stayed bridge. The shallower cables add to the prestress in the deck. While there are many articles available on the design of specific extradosed bridges, very little has been published on their dynamic behaviour from a general perspective. The paper highlights the free vibration and forced vibration behaviour of the extradosed Bridge.
