Abstract

The static characteristics of a 3-phase 12/8 switched reluctance motor (SRM) are measured by indirect method. Based on the measured flux linkage characteristics, the nonlinear mathematical model of SRM is established in Matlab/Simulink environment; the control strategy and algorithm of switched reluctance drive (SRD) are developed. The simulation results are in accord with the results by finite-element analysis and it reflect the operating characteristics of SRM. In addition, the results will be of reference value in the further research and development of SRD.
