Abstract

This paper describes a Butterfly subdivision surfaces method which was structured by dense and unorganized triangle mesh. In this paper, using improved QEM algorithm to construct the control meshes in mesh simplification, then, using a modified Butterfly subdivision surfaces method produces subdivision surfaces to get good approximation of the initial meshes. Also describes the construction of a continuous multi-resolution model and its application in the network transmission.
