The sustainable development of highway transport in China

Abstract

The concept of the sustainable development is brought forward in the 1980s and has been received and paid close attention in the world. Under the new situation, highway transport is considered as an important transport, so it is worthwhile to how to play the role and provide strong guarantee for socio-economic development and achieve the own sustainable development. From the point of sustainable development, the connotation and basic contents of sustainable development of highway transport are discussed. According to the actual situation in China, related strategies and prospect of sustainable development of highway transport are raised in the paper.
