Abstract

In order to identify individuals who would respond to the dietetic treatment of obesity, 100 overweight patients were seen individually and followed up for 24 weeks. Various characteristics of the patients were noted, and normal dietetic procedures were followed. Fifty per cent of patients were still attending at 24 weeks. Of the total sample, 28% of the patients were following criteria:
