Abstract
A boundary integral equation for the numerical solution of a class of elliptic boundary value problems for a strip is derived. The equation should be particularly useful for the solution of an important class of problems governed by Laplace's equation and also for the solution of relevant problems in anisotropic thermostatics and elastostatics
