A new oribatid mite of the genusProtoplophoraBerlese, 1910 (Acari: Oribatida: Protoplophoridae) from Iran

Abstract

A new species of the genus Protoplophora Berlese, 1910 Berlese, A. 1910. Acari nuovi. Manipoli V, VI. Redia, 6: 199–234. [Google Scholar] (Acari: Oribatida: Protoplophoridae), Protoplophora iranica from Iran is described. The new species is characterized by the striated body surface and nine pairs of genital setae. Also a key to all the species in the genus is presented.
