Abstract

Silva, T. R. S. & Salimena, F. R. 2002. New combinations and new synonyms in Lippia and Lantana (Verbenaceae). Darwiniana 40(1-4): 57-59. After the revision of the genus Lantana in Brazil by Silva (1999), Chamissos's concept of the genus was re-established. Therefore, the species of Lantana sect. Sarcolippia and all the species with fruit with two pyrenos were excluded from Lantana and they were transferred to the genus Lippia. Moreover, Lippia bahiensis was transferred to Lantana and new synonyms and a superfluous name were also added.
