Abstract
We describe an experiment for the measurement of decay energy in electron capture suitable for an advanced undergraduate laboratory. The experiment consists of determining the end-point energy of the inner bremsstrahlung spectrum accompanying electron capture. As an example, we have measured the Fe55-55Mn decay energy and obtain a value of 248±20 keV.
