Abstract
Constellations design is a very important part in Space Based Radar (SBR) system design. The equator orbit constellation for regional continuous coverage is proposed in this paper. The equator orbit altitude and the satellite number are first calculated, then the coverage performance indexes for the special constellation are proposed and the corresponding calculation methods are given for every coverage index. Finally an example of equator orbit constellation design for regional continuous coverage is utilized for testing the validity of the special satellite constellation. (4 pages)
