A Conceptual Analysis of School Sports Development in Nigeria

Abstract

This research was undertaken to examine school sports development inNigeria. Specifically, education and sports policies as it relates to schoolsports policies and implementations of these policies in Primary andSecondary schools. The paper noted that the concept of school sports ascurrently being used and practiced is schools is at variance with whatorganised and administered school sports should be. To achieve this status,qualified personnel, standardised sports facilities and equipment wererecommended as necessary inputs.
