Abstract

This paper discusses a new algorithm of file encryption based on chaotic systems and advanced AES encryption technology. Based on the study of some existing chaotic encryption algorithms, a new dynamical block cipher was proposed. In the proposed cipher, key generated from chaotic sequence are used as sub-key for AES block ciphers. The problem of “key space shortage" is successfully solved and a new AES algorithm based on chaos map is created. The new model integrates the characteristics of both cipher systems to achieve higher security. The possibility of mixing both the advantages of block and stream ciphers in one encryption scheme is discussed. The essential superiorities on security and efficiency are stated. Such cipher schemes which have both the features of block ciphers and stream ciphers have good properties on anti-attacks. And thus, the schemes will have a good future on the application.
