Abstract
Query processing has attracted significant attention since XML database is proposed. This paper focuses on structural join mainly in our native XML storage and query system (XSQS). A hybrid structural join strategy based on tree-merge algorithm and stack-tree algorithm is proposed. Moreover, a path index scheme is designed to accelerate the query processing. Experimental results show that the proposed hybrid strategy and the index have a good performance in query processing of XSQS.
