Abstract
VLA 0.3″ resolution maps of the 10 1 −9 2 A − absorption line of methanol and the 2 π 3/2 , J=9/2, F=5−5 absorption line of OH toward the compact H II region W3(OH) are presented. These are combined with 12″−26″ resolution single dish maps of 8 molecular emission lines and an analysis of recombination line data to determine the distribution of H 2 and the dynamics of the H 2 /H II complex.
