Abstract
Focusing on the problems existing in the campus network management systems (NMS), this paper introduces a core concept of modern management - participative management into campus network management, and presents a new network management concept - user participating network management, which is composed by network center subsystem and consumer subsystem. These two subsystems run cooperatively. In practice, the user-participation network management can effectively decrease the operation cost, and improve the network management level and service quality.
