Abstract

This paper describes an L-Band low noise transistor preamplifier fabricated in micro-stripline configuration for microwave receiver for troposcatter propagation measurements. The amplifier provides a gain of 15.5±0.5 dB and noise figure of 4±0.5 dB in the frequency range of 1 to 2 GHz. The output power of 1 dB gain compression is zero dBm.
