Abstract A Cu‐catalyzed tandem approach for the synthesis of indolo‐ and pyrrolonaphthyridines via regioselective addition of indoles or pyrrole to 3‐bromo‐2‐ethynylpyridines (II) followed by intramolecular cyclization is presented.
