Abstract

Metabolic bone disorders are characterized by a nonspecific increase of Tc-99m MDP uptake in the skeleton. The effects may be generalized and/or local. Here, two clinical entities of secondary hyperparathyroidism are presented— osteomalacia and renal osteodystrophy.
