Abstract
Ten chelating complexes of titanium(IV) have been isolated from the reaction of titanium(IV) chloride with dibasic tetradentate Schiff bases in the presence of anhydrous triethylamine. The complexes have the molecular formula TiCl2 (SB) where SB represents the dibasic tetradentate Schiff bases having -ONNO-donor systems. The complexes have been characterized by their physical and spectral data.
