Abstract
A review is given of the current status of certain aspects of the photochemistry of visual pigments. Data are given on the forward reactions of photolysis on absorption of a photon by rhodopsin and on the reverse reactions of photoregeneration on absorption of light by products of photolysis. Attention is concentrated on the results obtained by the method of laser flash photolysis and on studies of phototransformations occurring under the action of picosecond and nanosecond pulses.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
