Abstract

Eighteen species of Phytoseiidae belonging to three genera, viz., Amblyseius, Phytoseius and Typhlodromus are reported here for the first time from Andaman Nicobar islands. This includes eight new species of Amblyseius which are described and illustrated. Keys to the genera and species of phytoseiid mites of Andaman Nicobar islands are presented.
