A Case of Extramedullary Plasmacytoma in the Nasal Septum.

Abstract

Extramedullary plasmacytoma, a rare type of plasmacytoma, can often be diagnosed only by histological examinations.Recently, we encountered a case of extramedullary plasmacytoma originating in the nasal septum, which was diagnosed by immunohistochemical examination. The tumor was identified as IgG-κ type by the enzyme-labeled antibody technique. The tumor total removed with an Nd-YAG laser and post operative irradiation was performed. No signs of local recurrence or multiple myeloma have been recognized during the follow-up period.
