Abstract
Reciprocal chromosomal interchanges were used to determine which chromosome arms of the resistant corn (Zea mays L.) inbred Mp412 carried genes for resistance to the corn stunting disease complex. The material was evaluated at Mississippi State, Miss., and Hurricane Mills, Tenn., under conditions of natural infections. Genes for resistance in inbred Mp412 were found on the short arm of chromosome 1 and on the long arm of chromosome 3. One year's data indicated the presence of another resistance gene(s) on the short arm of chromosome 4.
