Abstract
Optimal duration of prophylaxis after hip and knee arthroplasty and hip fracture surgery has been debated in recent years. Examination of reported studies would indicate that some benefit may be gained from extending prophylaxis in total hip arthroplasty (THA) and hip fracture surgery, but extended prophylaxis is questionable in total knee arthroplasty (TKA).
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
