Abstract

Phytobenthos from italian continental shelf. — The A. states the results of 8 years explorations, by diving techniques, in 44 stations of italian coast. It has been collected 620 floral entities with the following composition: 74 Myxophyceae, 96 Chlorophyceae, 2 Xantophyceae, 108 Phaeophyceae, 336 Rhodophyceae and 4 Phanerogamae. For each species verified geographical distribution in the explored stations is reported. Besides recent literature on the studied biotopes is cited.
