Abstract

The non-differentially stained karyotypes of the tropical voles Microtus quasiater (Coues, 1874) and M. umbrosus (Merriam, 1898) are described by first time, and compared and contrasted with that of the hypothetical primitive karyotype for Arvicolinae.
