Abstract

A pot experiment was conducted during 2012–13 at Kanpur for management of Meloidogyne incognita infecting okra (Abelmoschus esculentus Moench). Ten treatments were applied in different combinations of bioagents and oil cakes. Seed treatment with Paecilomyecs lilacinus @ 10 g kg-1 seed alongwith soil application of neem cake @ 100 g pot-1 was most effective in increasing root and shoot length (39.06 and 31.94 cm), fresh and dry weight and reducing number of galls (1467 plant -1), number of female plant-1 (7.0) compared to untreated control. Use of Pseudomonas fluorescens alongwith neem cake was at par with the above treatment in controlling the nematode.
