Abstract

The models of fretting corrosion and fretting fatigue mechanisms and the processes in the contact zone of parts subjected to fretting fatigue are discussed. Experimental data on the fretting and fretting fatigue mechanisms and on the effect of fretting on the fatigue resistance of structural materials are presented.
