The small nebula near GL989 does not show the optical polarization features of a simple reflection nebula illuminated by a nearby source and we suggest the polarization arises from dichroic extinction by aligned grains. We propose that the nebula is the first visible sign of the formation of a cometary/bipolar nebula created by collimated outflows from the IR source.
