Abstract
A review of the various treatments of the terms centrifugal and centripetal force is given. Recommendations on how forces on bodies moving in circular paths should be presented are proposed in the hope that they may be debated if they are not immediately accepted. Eventually a satisfactory method of presentation of the dynamics of circular motion may be agreed upon by teachers of elementary physics.
