Development and Strategies for the Intelligent Transport System in China

With the development of social economy and the growth of traffic, the adoption of the intelligent transport system will improve the utilization, safety and convenience of the road. The concept, function and the necessity of the intelligent system was discussed in detail. Its development at home and abroad was analyzed. Combined with the present situation and developing trend of China traffic and transportation, the developing strategies of the intelligent transport were put forward. Finally some suggestions were presented on the intelligent transport system and the further development of international standards in China.
