Abstract

This paper introduces a concept for solving the limitation on visualization and integration of data and information in controlling and managing a lot of facilities and devices used in buildings. For this purpose, keeping the building facilities, devices and building automation control network as it was, and making a building design sheet of 3D to apply it to a building application through developing functions and services which coincide a virtual spatial building with a real building by defining newly the 3D virtual building platform after extracting the spatial information BIM. It makes it possible to manage and control building services, and which is different from the past, through the 3D virtual building as a user and an operator are in field. In this way, it can cope with separate facility and device control and emergency, and provide effective building management and integrated building services. In this paper we will present 3D virtual building platform to construct the above concept, integrated control automation model and its framework, and introduce the developed prototype, that has been applied to the test bed and reviewed in point of the function, the performance and the applicability to u-building for the future.
