Abstract
Oblique stagnation flow has been the subject of previous work. In this Brief Communication, attention is restricted to the case in which the flow is steady, inviscid, and two dimensional. A general solution to the thermal field valid in the region of the stagnation point, which formally exhibits x dependence, is sought. Such a solution is obtained and then compared to the well-known similarity solution for temperature in the case in which the flow field is normal plane stagnation flow.
