The applications of ergonomics in the design of dimension series

In the design of the product, not only the performance and structure of products but also the dimension series should be designed. In this paper, we discussed and analyzed the problems in the design of dimension series. According to the principle of Ergonomics, we put forward a design method of the dimension series based on the measurement of human body sizes. And the design methods of types and size of the product were discussed. Finally, we improved the structure of products series for a enterprise using our method. Taken as a example, the process of calculation was described in detail.
