Abstract

At 7th plenary session of 10th Beijing municipal committee, the development strategy of accelerating the implementation of the "Humanistic Beijing, Hi-tech Beijing and Green Beijing" is put forward on the height of building the world city. How to construct Beijing urban environment to a new level is worth concerning. Based on historical analysis of urban environment construction of New York, London and Tokyo, four principles that Beijing should insist on in the progress of urban environmental construction are presented.
