Correction to “Narrow‐scale flow and a weak field by the top of Earth's core: Evidence from Ørsted, Magsat, and secular variation”

[1] In the paper “Narrow-scale flow and a weak field by the top of Earth's core: Evidence from Ørsted, Magsat, and secular variation” (Journal of Geophysical Research, 109, B03106, doi:10.1029/2003JB002833), the following corrections are needed. [2] In paragraph [23], the first sentence should read “… the sum of attenuated cubic SV spectrum (5) over n converges on all spheres of radius r greater than or equal to c > c−.”. [3] Paragraph [56], the first paragraph in Appendix A, should end with “ … for n less than or equal to 8.” [4] In paragraph [57], the second sentence has an extraneous {Rnc (c)} and should read “… then {Rnc (c)} is proportional to [n(n + 1)]−1/2 at low n …”. In the fourth sentence of paragraph [57], a blank should appear between “[1996]” and “rule”. [5] In paragraph [68], in Appendix B2, the phrase immediately above equation (B10) should read “… in this case, the kinetic energy per unit volume per wave number is …”. In paragraph [74], in Appendix B3, k is less than k* and the left-hand side of equation (B18) should read “{F(k < k*)} = ”. [6] In paragraph [76], in Appendix B4, k is again less than k* and the integrand in the left hand side of relation (B19) should be “{M(k < k*)}”. [7] Similarly, in paragraph [77], the integrand in the left-hand side of relation (B20) should be “{M(k < k*)}”. [8] In paragraph [81], the second sum in equation (C1c) should run from n = 1 to infinity.
