Abstract

The irradiation under vacuum of ergosterol in the solid state by Co/sup 60/ gamma rays leads to the formation of precalciferol/sub 2/ at a temperature of 20 deg C. The radiochemical yield is equal to 8 for a delivered dose of 46 x 10/sup 18/ ev/g at intensity of 5.8 x 10/sup 18/ev/gh. (tr-auth)
