Abstract
The in vitro study of the sensitivity of 200 strains of Gram-positive as well as Gram-negative bacteria, carried out in Agar plate dilution in accordance with the method of Steers and co-workers, demonstrates the more evident inhibitory effects of Tobramycin with respect to the gentamicin on 10 strains of Pseudomonas aeruginosa. On the other bacteria, gentamicin has an activity equivalent or superior to that of tobramycin. The published results are divergent; these differences cannot be justified by methodology alone.
