Reflecting upon our experiences: an auto-ethnographic approach to understanding graduate learning

Using an auto-ethnographic approach, this work features the journaling experiences of three student writers as they apply course content, hone their work as writers, and develop the skill of reflective practice. Through journaling, the authors delve into the triumphs and challenges of critically reflecting upon course material and the academic writing experience. Results of this research suggest the benefits of journaling in understanding course content, applying the knowledge to educational practice, and utilizing reflection in training and the workplace.
