Abstract
For the latest development in the direction of embedded system and wireless network, this paper describes wireless image transmission based on the embedded system. It establishes the hardware platform of the embedded system. Microprocessor S3C2440A will be the core, USB camera will be the image acquisition device and wireless network card will be the wireless transmission equipment. The software development environment is Linux operating system which is open source, through it we can transplant Linux operating system into the hardware platform, can load the drivers of wireless network card and USB camera. At last, based on this model we can transmit image successfully between hardware platform and PC.
