Abstract

This article provides an overview of pertinent literature on the development of motor learning as it relates to several aspects of motor skill performance. Specific parameters including speed and accuracy; anticipation; knowledge of results and kinesthesia; practice and strategies of action are presented. Future directions for research in motor skill acquisition are suggested.
